Prof(Dr) Manoj Kumar Sahu is a highly experienced gastroenterologist with over 20 years in the field. He completed his MBBS and MD (Medicine) from SCB Medical College, Cuttack. He has served as Chief Medical Officer in three hospitals across Nabarangpur, Koraput, and Kalahandi for six years.
Professional Journey:
- Higher Studies: Pursued DM in Gastroenterology at Christian Medical College, Vellore, and continued as Faculty for seven years.
- Previous Roles: Worked at MIOT Hospitals, Chennai, for three years and was the HOD of the Dept. of Gastroenterology at IMS & SUM Hospital for about 12 years.
- Current Role: Senior Consultant at Apollo Hospitals and HOD of the Dept. of Gastroenterology at Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences.

- Liver Transplantations: Instrumental in starting the first and second liver transplantations in the state.
- Advanced Procedures: Specializes in Third Space Tunnel Surgeries and Endoscopic Submucosal Dissections for early cancers.

Prof(Dr) Sahu is actively involved in social initiatives such as Hepatitis screening and immunization, School Health Programs, Organ donation, Tobacco free Odisha, Samarpan Blood Donation conclave, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Adruta Children Homes, and various slums of Bhubaneswar. He also works closely with the twin city Commissionerate of Police.
